Robyn Rihanna Fenty, often referred to as Rihanna by the Barbadians is an artist and singer. Her biggest hits are Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. A very successful artist still in the prime of her young age, she's sold over 140 million records and 41 million songs worldwide becoming one of the best-selling artists of all time. Born in Barbados she grew up listening to reggae and started singing when she was quite young. In the wake of being disturbed by chaotic nature of her home life, as well as her frequent disputes with her father she became immersed with music. In the end, she realized she was destined to make it as a professional. While still in highschool, she formed a music group, and was asked to perform to be a part of Evan Rodgers. The producer was extremely impressed by the talent of this teenager. He requested for the teenager to move into New York and pursue a professional singing career. Rihanna jumped at the chance to take it. Rihanna was quickly a sensation when her debut album hit the market. Rihanna's peppy songs were the most popular among young people, motivating her into film. Being a gifted young lady, Rihanna has been hailed as a teen idol. Rihanna is also putting her fame to good use, and is actively involved with several charity causes.
