Najarra had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in life before she was three. The young model began to take part in stage shows within her community. All through her childhood and teenage life, Najarra was involved in both theatre and musical productions. In the movie "Menace" where she was in the lead role, she appeared at age ten. Najarra was recognized internationally due to her performance in the Sundance and Cannes Award-winning "Me and You and Everyone We have Come to Know", in 2005. Najarra has appeared as the lead character in various films including "Tru loved" and "Marin Blue" as well as "Betty I am" and many more.
