
Teri Lynn Hatcher was the daughter of Teri Hatcher. She was born in Palo Alto California on December 8 1964. Her mother Esther was an engineer at Lockheed Martin computer programmer, while her father Owen was an electrical engineer and nuclear physicist. She was educated by Esther. Teri studied ballet at the San Juan School of Dance and was born in Sunnyvale, California. She was a student at Fremont High School, where she was captain of the Featherettes dance team. She was voted "Most likely to be a Solid Gold Dancer." Hatcher, who graduated in engineering and mathematics at De Anza College after which she studied acting in the San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater. Teri admitted that her uncle Richard Hayes Stone had sexually assaulted her starting at the age of 5. She also assisted Santa Clara County prosecutors in their case against Stone after Stone's 14-year-old victim committed suicide. Stone was sentenced to prison for four counts, pleading in guilty pleas to molestation. While in prison, he died from colon cancer.
